A day in the heart of Sydney
Sydney is Australia’s oldest city and is home to the iconic Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbor Bridge. Between visiting the Blue Mountains, wine tastings, and checking out Bondi Beach and Manly Beach, and exploring the city, we quickly realized why Sydney is such a popular destination for travelers. We spent a week in Sydney and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Check out our posts about the mountains and wine tastings: Day Trips from Sydney: Blue Mountains and Hunter Valle

10 things to do in Byron Bay
Byron Bay is a coastal town in Australia’s state of New South Wales. It has a really laidback feeling to it and from my point of view was composed of three types of inhabitants; tourists and backpackers, surfers and hippies. Within an hour of our arrival to Byron Bay we caught one of the most epic sunsets and sipped on a delicious locally brewed IPA. Byron Bay marks days 64 to 65 of our gap year honeymoon. We enjoyed our time in this chill coastal town and we squeezed in ever

Brisbane to the Gold Coast
The eastern coast of Australia is home to quite the dynamic coastline, environment, and many cities & towns which make it a very popular place to visit on a short vacation. From The Great Barrier Reef & the Daintree Rainforest in northeastern Queensland down to the popular capital city of New South Wales, Sydney, there is many reasons why someone visiting Australia for the first time could easily spend a month on this coastline alone. At the core of the coastline you'll find

Cairns: Rainforests, Beaches & Reefs
Before visiting Cairns, we knew it was the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef but had no idea it was the gateway to some of the world’s oldest rainforests & biodiversity. We spent 5 days in the area and easily could’ve spent more time because there is so much to do. Between the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree National Park, this region of Australia is absolutely beautiful and we can’t wait to visit this tropical paradise again someday. Beautiful views looking down on Four Mile

The Great Australian Outback: Uluru to Alice Springs
The Outback is something Casey and I have both seen in movies and it was a surreal to experience it ourselves. What we didn't see or realize from watching the movies was the amount of time we'd spend driving through the desert or just how hot it would get here. It's an experience we will never forget and likely one we'll never experience again in our lifetime. We have A LOT of pictures to share from the Outback so be sure to get through this entire post and check out the gall

Adelaide: Wineries, Breweries & Views
Adelaide, known as Australia’s culture capital and the capital city of South Australia, was the next stop on our Aussie adventure. The city is full of spacious green parkland and the city center in encircled by botanic gardens and popular parks. Within miles of the city you’ll find world class wineries and award winning breweries. The temps during our time here reached highs of 108°F and we found ourselves retreating to breweries and wineries to escape the heat and quench our
